Another One Bites The Dust In Atalnta

A sign ...

"signal" is set in the 50's, amid a very heated political context not only with the recent death of Eva Peron. In this sense, the staging, costumes, photography and soundtrack are excellent, ideal to put us in tune with the times. Even different accessories have rented for the filming as well as collector cars.
But the rest leaves much to be desired. With a plot poor, unoriginal and a foregone conclusion from the middle of the tape, we can say that the actors that are a waste account for this production. It's a real shame to see Ricardo Darin (Pibe Corvalan), Julieta Diaz (Gloria) and Diego Peretti (Santana) embodying roles that lack of strength, charisma and intrigue.
Corvalan and Santana are partners in a detective agency for some time but not the best at what they do. Several cases they have gone wrong and work for minimum wage until they get in trouble for Gloria, a mysterious woman who has hired Corvalan and gotten him into a dirty game of power and ambition. Recommended by friend and partner, turns a deaf ear to the request to withdraw from the research.
As is, there is much money involved, but are exposed in the eyes of the mob and their lives are in danger. Corvalan ends between a rock and a hard fall in love with Gloria, who has little or nothing about her or the case. Corvalan work blindly but tricked her.
The film takes an hour and a half thick, and the plot does not help pass the time happy. The story becomes dense, with few turning points, little action and suspense away. Bored almost from the first minutes and does not understand anything until almost reached the end, which as I said, be sensed perfectly.
Most Argentine film productions are characterized by being slow in time and provide little information in a very long period. This is the case, because in reality the way to address the issue does not warrant that the film took almost two hours. The key to any good movie is "hold" the viewer the first few minutes so that interested then follow the rest of the tape. This production fails to achieve this task, putting an obligation to continue watching the movie just to see how it ends, albeit very reluctantly.
The only important characteristic of this production is that after the death of director Eduardo Mignogna, Ricardo Darin had the difficult task of pursuing the completion of the film along with Martin Hodara.
Slowly, very original, not interesting contributions or rollovers. An attempt Argentine drama thriller and does not challenge, not surprising or exciting.
