The essence of a film is not its duration. The most captivating can range from the soundtrack that fills all the spaces to the characterizations, from the exterior to the amazing atmosphere and costumes that go with both of them stand out. " The curious case of Benjamin Button (" The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ") of David Fincher (adaptation of the novella Scott Fitzgerald published in 1921) captive until the final credits, with smooth melodies of jazz, an extremely emotional Brad Pitt and innocent, such a strong history as drama and realism that surpasses the limits of belief. The first scenes
confused. We get the feeling that we were wrong room and see another movie. Daisy (Cate Blanchet ), an elderly woman dying in a hospital with her daughter, decides to spend his last moments telling the story that shaped his life, imitation of novel that tells the story of a clock turns back and Playing with time and with the emotions of the viewer.
This story, told in 2005 but originated in 1918, is connected with Benjamin ( Brad Pitt), who was born different from everyone. A baby is 90 years old and so his father decides to leave at the door of a house. Is found by a family of a nursing home where he lived until he finds his true motivations in life and split them to live alone. That woman
it is wet, shivering, alone in the dark and crying out loud, becomes her mother to death. Here we opted to focus on a strong point: it is the only one not scared when they see it and decides to make it part of his life and his family all prejudice shattering absurdity. The phrase is no accident that we see on the poster of the film, in which she holds very warmly Benjamin: "I was pretty As Any picture to me." But behind him, Benjamin leaves more than just a mother who weeps, makes a love story that features a woman who loves and who love all his life, but who for now will not make anything for obvious reasons: the age difference.
Over the years, Benjamin is getting increasingly young and handsome, and his vision of life is an interesting analysis from the other side of things, about aging, love (almost) eternal and time prior to death as a cross but as the beginning of another state, and as a stage that is very similar at birth.
Cate Blanchett, who really stands out from the display and is incredibly personified, both young and old woman. Your perfect skin, intense eyes, her slender body and her face Irish style provide a unique magic.
Brad Pitt: excellently characterized as old, almost unrecognizable in his physique in his voice and even (incredibly reduce the size of his body and voice subtly fascia). Their innocent eyes, his silver hair and a touch of humor reveal the character that was hidden inside it, but that captivates and draws tape from the beginning. Again
film treats us to this couple who showed us their essence and their chemistry in "Babel" Alejandro González Iñárritu. That's why the success of the film was somehow secured (candidate for 13 Academy Awards, including Oscars for best film, best director, best actor and best supporting actress).
Nothing is forever, everything costs double and triple is desired, everything happens in slow motion, nothing seems to happen, but in a shaky voice heard off most fascinating and pseudo English accent that puts us squarely in the plot and we amazing in every scene.
Despite its 159 minutes, the film justifies. To tell a story like that "time is not important," if we get carried away we become part of each scene, and we are touched by the depth of expression and intense dialogues. Excellent!.
